No what you do is PM me the badge you want to do and then you act around the forum doing it. Ex. If you want your Help a Newbie badge (by the way you need more than 10 posts to do this) then if I see you helping out a newbie (a newbie has less then 10 posts) then in that forum, I announce that you have won it and what level you won and if people want to post then they can.
